Clear Channel names new Cincinnati market head

By Robert Riggsbee

Clear Channel Communications Inc.’s Dayton leader Chuck Fredrick will head south to take the top spot at Clear Channel Cincinnati.

Fredrick is replacing Karrie Sudbrack, who redesigned Feb. 26 to take a position with Cumulus Media Inc.’s (NASDAQ: CMLS) three Cincinnati radio stations.  No new leader for the eight-station Clear Channel Dayton market has been named.

In January 2006, Fredrick became vice president and market manager for Dayton.  In that position, he was also replacing Sudbrack, who took the Cincinnati market manager job for Clear Channel at that time.

Fredrick’s 18 years of radio sales and management experience include stints at Cincinnati’s B-105 FM, and sales manager for the former WINK-FM, and vice president of sales for Clear Channel Cincinnati.

San Antonio-based Clear Channel (NYSE: CCU) owns eight Cincinnati-area radio stations, including WLW-AM and WEBN-AM.
